Taiwan Trip 2011 - Day 3

09:31

Day 3 in Taiwan!
We woke up much later as we were pretty tired from the first 2 days.

And we had breakfast at the hotel, which was provided. I found something nice to eat at the hotel, which is 鲁肉饭. That's the best thing that I've ate in the hotel.

All the food looks nice right?!

My sleepy look. LOL!!

After that, we went to do a check out, which was pretty smooth and hurried to the train station which was about 8 mins walk from the hotel.
And we reached the station!!

Camwhoring at the Station!!

Group photo without Wilfred who was helping us to take the pictures!

We were early for the train ride because we learn an important lesson, which is never to be on time. Must be earlier than expected. LOL! We went off to this shop selling some mochi which was the Taiwan specialty. I only bought 1 pack as I know my close friends and family don't really like. There was a mushroom flavour mochi, which tempted me to buy, which I ended up didn't buy.

Once we were done, we hurried off to the platform to wait for the train! This time,we were finally taking the Taroko train, which takes about 2 hours plus from Hualien to Taipei. Through out the train ride, all of kept sleeping, until this cute little girl came by! She's super cute to the max! Love the curls!

We reached Taipei pretty earlier, and went to take the HSR to Taichung.

At Taipei HSR Station!

While waiting for the train!!

Did some camwhoring on the train also as the ride from Taipei to Taichung is less than an hour! Fast right?! I seriously don't mind, except for the ear blockage. It was terrible.

At Taichung HSR Station.

MOS Burger in Taichung HSR Station

FYI, although we were at Taichung HSR Station, we were kind of far away from the city area of Taichung. LOL! We then head over to ask the train station master for directions. We head to the local train station, which looks abit quiet to take the train to Taichung Station. The train ride is pretty fast, which takes about less than 15 mins to reach. Once we were there, we tried to figure out how to go to the hotel. the girls went off to see the masks which were on sale! Very cheap at COSMED. Because we were tired to the max, we all agreed to take the cab down to the hotel instead.

Picture of the ticket for the local train. Small right?!

Local train is coming~

Inside the local train~~ Wheeee!!!

We stayed in Jin Man Jia Hotel for the next 5 days as it was an affordable hotel to us. Only the bathing facilities is abit....chui. But I would recommend this hotel for its service and location.

Jin Man Jia Hotel!

We did a quick check-in to the hotel and then refresh before heading out to do SHOPPING!!! We have been waiting for this day to come, coz we want to SHOP!!
We head off to Feng Jia Ye Shi, which was quite a distance from our hotel. Took a cab over, with 5 of us squeezing in the cab.

Getting a drink due to super hot weather in Taichung! Incredibly HOT!!!

Taking a picture with this cute car while walking to Feng Jia Ye Shi.

We also found a small PG Mall outlet there. Didn't buy anything from there.

And we found the signboard of Feng Jia Ye Shi!

The bear paw burger!!

Fried mushrooms which is super awesome to the max! Must try if you're going to Taichung. Okie, anywhere of Taiwan also have. xD

All the awesome foodies!!!

My favourite food whenever I go to Feng Jia Ye Shi! Its actually boneless chicken feet. Recommended by the locals! Super awesome to the max!!

I was crazy enough to try this. Its Pig's Blood Cake. Taste was okie, but not what I've expected and there was a long queue for it. Most of my friends didn't like it. xD

After that, we continued shopping and eating on the way.

Takoyaki~

Outside Feng Jia University~~

Then we took a cab back from Feng Jia University to our hotel.
We went back around 12am, which was still okie for me. Luckily, they don't have any night charges, unlike Singapore.

Here's a picture of what I've bought for the day!
