[game review] Shining Hearts

Was desperately looking for a game to play for these 2 weeks. FYI, I have been looking for a job for the past 2 months, so in order to kill time at home, while going for interviews and applying jobs online, I decided to play games again!

My PS2 have decided to fail me 2 years ago, and I'm only left with my PSP,DS and Wii. I won't be touching my Wii that soon, coz I need to setup the cables that I have taken out when my new table came.

Then, I went online to do a search for new games! I tried Taiko no Tatsujin DX for a week, it wasn't something that I like. I guess I'm still liking RPG games much better!
Saw a new game by Atlus, which made me want to get a XBox360 if not PS3. Creators are the same as Persona 3 and 4! Saw the review and its damn nice! But its more like a puzzle game, since you need to solve puzzles every night! If you're wondering what game it is, its 'Catherine'. Most gamers should have heard of this title!

Anyway, back to topic. I did a search on wiki to find new games in PSP and I saw this title, 'Shining Hearts'. Yes!!! Its the Shining series!!! The last time I touched the Shining series, 'Shining Wind' was 2 years ago. Finally, they have one on PSP!!!

Here's a intro video of Shining Hearts during TGS 2010

Character design is the same as Shining Tears and Shining Wind!
What's best, my favourite singer/seiyuu, Mizuki Nana is also one of the VA in it!!

The battle style is also quite different from Shining Wind. Its more like your normal RPG battle. Shining Wind is more of tactical battle if I'm not wrong!

Main story for this Shining series is the protagonist of the game, is being washed up to the shores of Windaria, and he meets his new partner, which you can choose which job, ranging from Magician, Archer or Priest. Then you'll join her in doing quests each day to learn about the country of Windaria. Until one day, a mysterious girl, is also being washed up to the shores of Windaria, and then the story starts from here, where you will help her regain her lost memories and emotions, and protect her from the pirates.

Not only that, the main thing about this game is the 'Hearts'. If you realized that this game is Shining Hearts, whereby you will need to collect hearts from people and then you use them to make bread! Interesting right?
You also get to do fishing too!!

Am totally addicted to this game last night!
Do give this game a try!

game review: plants vs zombies

I love this game alot!
Its super interesting and cute! Especially when you complete the adventure mode!
There's an awesome video waiting for you to unlock it!

Anyway, here's the video!

Interesting right?
I find the song pretty catchy.

Anyway, back to the game play. This game requires some thinking, especially on strategic thinking on how you place your flowers and attack the zombies!
I find it nice overall, and it can be played over and over again!
Its not that boring at all!
Enjoy!!

game review: Dragon Quest IX

Am currently back to playing this game. I think I had actually stopped playing this for more than 8 months.
I seriously do not know where to head to and what to do, as I haven't been playing at all. All the while, I have been studying and focusing on my uni studies which were more important to me back then.
But now, since I have the time, I might as well, make full use of it and game non-stop. Besides, my mum won't complain or nag at me, as she will be travelling to Europe (without me).

I know that writing for this review would be too late, because it has been released for a long time, plus, new one has came out (which I have yet to get my hands on it!!!!).

Anyway, the game play is fantastic! You can get to choose what class you want to be! Not only that, graphics are quite good for NDS!
I totally recommend this game to all RPG gamers especially those who followed DQ series!

Enjoy!
