Shots Cafe @ Ann Siang Hill +"SCANDALOUS" outing

Got my voucher from Groupon and went with my Uni classmate, Wilfred to Shots cafe, which is located at Ann Siang Hill!

Its not very hard to locate, if you know where Maxwell market is located.

Am totally loving that place now, coz the coffee there rocks! I do like to drink coffee nowadays, and its getting worse each time when I start to increase the number of shots to it, to keep myself awake at work!

Anyway, shots cafe is not just only a cafe. The ambience there is really nice!

Outside Shots Cafe

We ordered the following with the recommendation by one of the staff.
-Hazelnut Latte
-Mocha Latte
-Seafood Aglio Olio
-Meat Lovers Pizza

We wanted to get Panna Cotta instead, but the staff recommended us to get brownies instead. Ended up, we didn't order any desserts.

Inside the cafe~ Nice ambience right?

My super cute bear on my cup of hazelnut latte~

Heart shaped on Wilfred's mocha latte

Awesome pizza with a very thin crispy crust!

Average Seafood Aglio Olio

The food there was pretty good. I think I still like their coffee more than anything else. Will be visiting Shots Cafe soon with another friend, to try out the desserts~

After that, we walked from Chinatown to Liang Court and then to Cityhall. It was really fun walking and talking at the same time. We talked about many stuff while walking. Also talked about working life too.

Anyway, the reason why I put "SCANDALOUS" is because Jasmine said that it was scandalous that only the two of us met up. xDxD Its not really scandalous anyway, so please don't take it too seriously :D

FCH-ers Outing [Part 1]

Went for a small FCH-ers outing yesterday. Only a few went due to some reasons.

Anyway, met up with 2 of them, Wilfred and Evan! Those two always love each other deep deep that make me laugh non-stop at their actions!

I was the first one to reach as the meeting place was at Clementi Mall, since both of them gian KOI alot! I headed off to the library first as I need to return my books and borrow some good books for self-referencing. I think its a good idea of have a library in Clementi since Clementi is so boring!

After that,Wilfred arrive shortly and we talk about how the job search is on-going. We chatted awhile before Evan comes. Then we decided on where to have lunch as the decision lies with me. o_O; Obviously hates to make decisions especially when it comes to food.

So I intro-ed them to Ootoya, which was one of my favourite places to have Japanese food as the pricing is pretty reasonable to me. I really like Ootoya when I was back in Japan last year! Love the food there and you get to have unlimited helpings of white rice. *I'm a big lover of RICE*

I think they have just changed their menu to the electronic ones whereby you used a pen to send your orders over. This type of ordering have its pros and cons.

The steps on how to order using the pen!

Pen for ordering!

Me and my Ootoya Lunch Special

Wilfred and Evan.

Wilfred ordered the minitoro don with udon while Evan ordered the Katsutoji set which I find it really yummy! :D

Evan's Katsutoji set!

Wilfred's minitoro don and udon set!

During lunch time, both me and Wilfred [more like its me], ranted to Evan about something. The whole talk was really bitchy!! LOL!!!

After that we headed off to find an ATM as the guys needed to withdraw money. Next, we headed to Koi!

As usualy, I got my grass jelly milk tea, Wilfred got his new found love, Jasmine Green Milk tea and Evan with his grass jelly milk tea.We headed back to Clementi Mall again to walk around. We also went to Popular to walk around and outside Popular, we gave the cardigan that the four of us bought from Taiwan, and gave it to Evan! Then we stopped by Challenger to look at a few stuff and we even camwhored there with one of the macbook!

Then we stop by Baskin Robbins to have ice cream!!

The ice cream were pretty affordable and flavour were nice too!
My favourite flavour till now is the Pralines' n Cream! Super awesome flavour! I chose that on my first try!!
Both me and Wilfred also tried other flavours such as Royale Mousse Chocolate, Cotton Candy, Maui Brownie Madness and many others. We decided to get Pralines' n Cream and Maui Brownie Madness. Super awesome!

Had a two scoop ice-cream as it was more cheaper.

Once we were done,we waited for a whilefor Evan's girlfriend to come before we head back.
Much thanks to Wilfred for sending me home so I can reach home earlier to do my household chores! LOL!

To end off, here's a group photo, taken by Evan's gf!

It was really nice to meet them up! :D Am looking forward to meet the rest of the group except for the 'outcast'

P.S. All pics are credited to Wilfred for taking most of them! :D

Baskin Robbins Ice Cream!

Had a long day outside.
Okie, not really long, but it wasfor like 9 hours.

Went over to IKEA Tampines to get a new table! Finall got something that I like alot! Hope its really worth it! Spent like over 2hours just to find a right table!

After that its off to GIANT! Didnt buy much stuff! Then its a long way back to my place.
*sigh*

Decided to head to the library to get my library card done and then borrow some books. Not much programming books there, and I ended up borrowing a book on photoshop and then one one event planning. Sounds interesting. May borrow more soon!

While I was at Clementi Mall, I happen to see Baskin Robbins open!!!
It has been 2 weeks since I've went for my trip!
Decided to give it a try!
I tried the 'Pralines n' Cream' Totally awesome!! Really a good try!
If you like sweet stuff, you should give this ice cream a try!

There are two Baskin Robbins outlet, one in Novena Square and the other at Clementi Mall!
Do go and try if it you haven't done so!!

Brownice Ice Cream @ SIM Open House

I ended my Marketing paper earlier coz I was too stunned to do anything, and I was about to fall asleep when doing the paper.

I head over to the library to print whatever marketing notes that I need then off to the open house to grab the free tote bag which contains a free G2000 20% voucher (I gave it to my brother), a Neutrogena HydroBoost Water gel and a few SIM brochures. I didn't really walk around to see since I'm a student there. I headed straight to Brownice instead. I had saw that stall yesterday, but I didn't buy because I was buying Koi straight after that.

Here's a website on Brownice: http://www.brownice.com/

And my ice-cream for the day! Peanut Butter Caramel and Hazelnut Chocolate

Here's my summarised review on the two flavours of this ice-cream.
★ Ice cream was as great as gelato and it doesn't have those super milky smell, which works well for me.
★ Peanut Butter Caramel was pretty okie, but I'm not a big fan of peanut butter, and the taste of peanut butter was pretty overwhelming
★ The hazelnut chocolate was pretty nice after eating a few times. Tastes abit like your Ferrero Rocher? Hahaha!!
★ Price was reasonable! 2 flavours for a small cup, which costs $3.80
Total verdict: ✓✓✓ (out of 5)

Am not really an ice cream lover because ice cream makes me fat and also because I have very senstitive teeth, so I can't really take cold stuff that often. But overall, it did win my heart over as I was able to complete the ice cream within a few minutes. ^_^

NEW Teppanyaki Chicken McGrill and Honey Chipotle Shaker Fries! @ MCD

Just went to try the

NEW Teppanyaki Chicken McGrill and Honey Chipotle Shaker Fries!

LOL!!

Today is the first day sales of this new burger. Wonder how well will the sales go.

Well, not a very good verdict I would say. The teppanyaki chicken, compared to MOS burger, I'll definitely give my vote to MOS Burger. Not because its from Japan (the brand name I meant), but its the flavour and the texture.

Here's a picture of the box and burger.

Here's my summarised review on the burger first.
★ Sourdough bun is not really my favourite bun and its soft that it sticks to my teeth.
★ Tomato's juice was flowing out, and it made it very messy. (FYI, I'm not a messy eater)
★ The chicken was not tender enough.
★ Not enough sauce (I think its ranch sauce)
★ Burger was too big for a female customer (I may be big size but I don't eat that much)
Total verdict: ✓✓ (out of 5)

As for the fries, I didn't really try it that much coz I was too full from the burger.

If I'm not wrong, the Honey Chipotle Fries was also sold during last year. I can't really remember when. I may be wrong. If so, please correct me.

I doubt I will go back for this burger, coz I still like MOS Burger's teriyaki chicken burger the best.

dinner meet up with shin li

Went to meet up with Shin Li on Monday night after work.
I was totally late in meeting her and another buyer as I had to help out in setting up a server for a colleague to do her testing.
I felt pretty bad for being late. I only managed to reach Bugis around 6.30p.m.

Met the buyer and finally got my Arashi TIME mug! Have placed the order since April, but haven't had the time and money to collect back then!

After that, I met up with Shin li and we went to Chilli Padi to try the Nonya Buffet. I was quite surprised that Shin li has yet to try Nonya food in Singapore despite her staying in Singapore for a few years.

I actually went to Chilli Padi once with my mum and relatives. Price wise was really affordable!
I made a reservation just in case there were too many people, but luckily, there wasn't that much people around. On our way to Chilli Padi,
I actually saw my ex-colleague. I haven't seen him for 3 years. Didn't expect him to recognise me. xD

Went inside to Chilli Padi, and started out on our Nonya Buffet!!
There were many selections such as Penang Laksa, Normal Laksa, Asam Pedas and many others! We tried almost everything and we were very full from it! We also tried their kuehs and desserts! Some were very nice to eat, but some are pretty average.

Looks delicious right?
I find that this is a must try!!

Shin li and Me!

After dinner, we went down to Bugis Village to do some shopping! I havent been to Bugis Village for more than 2 years, and sad to say that I'm a Singaporean. Somehow, I don't think I'm a Singaporean, coz I don't know many things about Singapore.

Anyway, we went around Bugis Village walking and found many interesting stuff! I got a new marine top which I liked it alot! But I have yet to wear it out since I bought it.
Sometime I guess?

After that, we went back around 9 plus, as we still have to work the next day.
We also discuss about school stuff and giving advices on the modules.
It was really fun, but for the time being, I don't think I'll be able to meet up with her as she'll be starting her part time classes tmr! *sad*

Am hoping to have another meet up soon! ^_^

Anyway, if you guys want to try out Chilli Padi, here's the address and contact number!

Food Review: Saizeriya @ Liang Court

Had dinner with my colleagues @ Saizeriya, Liang Court outlet!
They have more variety as compared to previous menu and most importantly, they have the squid ink pasta, which made me squealed like a little girl!
Anyway, here's a list of what we've ordered:
-Squid Ink Pasta

-Shrimp and Laksa Pasta
-Hamburger Set
-Fruit Tart Pizza-Bacon Pizza-Escargots-Meat Doria

But comparing it to the one I ate in Tokyo, Ikebukuro, I find Japan's Saizeriya so much better! At least this was still acceptable. Price range isn't that expensive either! 6 of us only paid about less than $12! I would recommend this to big groups of people as you can share everything on the menu!
Enjoy!
